Early Morning

(A/N: ok fuck. Here it is again... becuz I’m stupid. What’s even more stupid is that I write exclusively on the tumblr post thing, so I had to basically rewrite everything. It was around 7:42 in the morning when Faith felt shaggy hair tickle the back of her neck and arms wrap around her waist.

“Good morning,” she said to her groggy companion. “Are you hungry? I’m making omelets.”

Dante grumbled, “Sleepy. Why you up so early?”

“You seemed like you needed a pick-me-up,” she replied, stirring the egg mix. “Especially after last night.”

She remembered it clearly. Last night, Dante had been on a job- to clear out a mansion infested with demons. It must have been tougher than he had predicted, because he returned home that night soaked in blood, littered with already-healing bruises, and a snappy attitude.

“You seemed really annoyed,” she mused.

“Sorry. It was just... bad.” He seemed to shudder behind her, and she could sense his unwillingness to recount the tale.

“It’s alright.” Faith rubbed her head against the side of his neck; what sounded like a purr rumbled from his chest. “I understand. If you want, you can tell me after breakfast.”

No response. She couldn’t tell if he heard her or was too distracted by something to notice. So she shrugged and returned her attention to the eggs-

Only for something to trail the soft curve of her jaw. Something wet.

“Did you just... lick me?”

A raw, guttural snarl rippled through the air, only for it to get abruptly cut off.

“Fuck,” he gasped, his hands clenching and unclenching its painfully hard grip on her thighs, as if he couldn’t decide whether to let go or move closer. “Fuck. I thought I had at least a week...”

“What does that mean-!” A gasp flew out of her when something hard pressed against her clothed center. “Oh...”

“Sorry,” he mumbled. “It’s my heat. Something must’ve triggered it- Oh, shit.”

“Your heat?”

As he pulled them off, Faith took the time to observe him. In the soft morning light, with the barely illuminated sun framing the back of his face, he looked like a deity. One for whom she would gladly lay down her life to worship.

For a moment, all was quiet. The birds sang with the rapid rising of the sun. Light shone strongly through the windows. Faith took the time to admire Dante’s beauty more thoroughly, fingers skimming over his face, his neck, his collarbones. All the while having full confidence that every inch of this divine half-demon belonged to her.

ST: TNG S5 Watchthrough Episodes 18-21

Cause and Effect: Who’s ready for the ST equivalent of Groundhog Day? Yep, we have a time loop episode. This is actually my mom’s favorite episode so I’ve been waiting for this one XD.So the episode opens with the Enterprise blown up… and after the titles we have a poker game as though nothing happened. But Crusher begins to have deja vu and as the loops continue, so do the others. So... If you’ve seen time loop stories you more or less know how this goes. Though unlike most of the oens I’ve seen where just one person becomes aware of it, while Crusheris the first the others also begin to take notice. The don’t remember everything, but they start picking up on it and figuring out that something’s up. Again, I appreciate the cast being written as competent and not stupid cause it’s very easy to do with this kind of plot. Not sure I at all understand Data’s explanation on how he figured out how to end the loop... but hey, it ended. So it was good. Nothing mind-blowing but very much enjoyable. Any time that Crusher gets prominent screentime I’m happy, but again I just appreciate the cast being intelligent. Also the Kelsey Grammer cameo at the end, Hell yes~! 3.5/5.

The First Duty: Okay Wesley, second guest star appearance. Let’s see how it goes. Which, haha... it’s not a happy episode for him. There’s been an accident at the Academy and while thankfully Wesley is alright aside from an injured arm, one of his classmates has died. Well… that’s sad. That n and of itself could fuel a story all its own. But as a hearing is held, it becomes clear that something more is going on. As it turns out, Wesley’s teammate died because the entire squadron not only performed an illegal flight procedure… but lied about it. First that it was an accident, then that the accident and his own demise was his own fault. Why? To save their own skins. Now to be fair it’s clear that they’re scared, but it doesn’t change the fact that they’re essentially lying/disgracing a dead person to save themselves. Even the kid’s own father gets convinced of this, which only adds to Wesley’s guilt. I actually felt really bad for Wesley and I kinda feel like Picard, upon confronting him, was… pretty harsh. Wesley’s actions were wrong, but again he was clearly scared and felt guilty for it. Thankfully he does ultimately do the right thing, accepting the consequences. Hopefully, Wesley can push through it and grow from it if he shows up again. My mom doesn’t like this episode I guess because of how it portrayed Wesley, but honestly? I like it for that exact reason. Welsey isn’t portrayed necessarily as bad, he’s reacting like… well… a scared nineteen-year-old. He made a major mistake, and he paid the price for it, though it certainly wasn’t the worst punishment that he could have received. While Picard was rather harsh when confronting him, it was the push that Wesley needed to do the right thing. I think that this was the kind of episode that Wesley needed, where he commits a huge screw-up and unlike when he was a regular, pays the consequences for it… it’s just a shame that they did it after he stopped being a regular. I can see why some may dislike this one because of Wesley’s portrayal, but I think it was good and was long overdue for the character without villainizing him. He’s intelligent and capable of greatness, but he’s got a lot to learn, especially after this. Let’s hope that he does. 3.5/5.

Cost of Living: It’s another Lwaxana episode folks… yay. Okay despite my complaints about her episodes, the last one’s issues I had was more due to the subject matter than the character. If anything, she was the best part of it. So maybe this time things will be better. So this time, Worf is having parenting problems with Troi trying to help him and Alexander make it work. Lwaxana is on the Enterprise as she’s getting married, to Troi’s exasperation and Picard’s utter relief, and ends up butting in. Oh and the ship malfunctions because it’s Star Trek. So… it was okay I guess? The Holodeck scene was just utterly bizzare and I’m still trying to wrap my brain around WTF just happened. To be honest, Troi is the best part of this episode. She’s trying to reasonable help Worf with his parenting issues, Alexander with his lack of discepline/responsibility, her mother marrying a guy she never met and bending agains the Betazoid traditions that she usually follows, and she’s clearly just fed up with everyone especially her mother. It makes her such a joy to watch, haha! Lwaxana was… alrigh. On the one hand, it ws not at all her place to butt into the whole Alexander situation especially since Troi was handling it. On the other hand, the episode does go more into how lonely Lwaxana is and make her manhunting/desire tog et married more sympathetic. Te previous episodes always played it mainly as a joke/a condition of her species at her age, but it never allowed her to actually delve into why she’s so desperate. How she’s fears rowing older and being all alone without someone to love her… and gosh I’ve absoluteley seen this before and it’s just sad. Consideirng that this came out the same year that Gene Roddenberry, majel Barret’s husband and of course as we know the franchise creator, has passed… I can only imagine how rough this had to be for the poor woman. But if she wad channeling that into her performance, she did a fantastic job. Also Lwaxana’s fiance? He was played by freakin’ Tony Jay. The man is a freakin’ legend the voice acting world (probably best known as Frollo in Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, by far his darkest performance yet probably his best) and it’s the first time I’ve seen him in a live aciton role. He plays a snobish asshole and obviousy the marriage falls through in the end, but he made the episode worth it! So yeah, I’m still not a big Lwaxana fan but they are trying to add more to her and overall it was fine. It’s not great, for example the Enterprise’s plot felt tacked on to fill in the runtime, the pacing was rouh, and the storylines were not at all balanced out well. But it was overall fine, though i think Half a Life did her better. Troi, some legit Lwaxana development, and getting an appearance by Tony Jay made it worth it XD 2/5.

The Perfect Mate: While preparing for a peace treaty, the Enterprise picks up two Ferengi, one of which messes with the cargo, and releases a young woman named Kamala, a mutant amongst her kind whose abilities let her become the perfect mate for any man, from suspended animation. She was meant to stay that way until the ceremony... and was meant to be a ‘gift’ to one of the sides. Yeah... that’s not at all messed up. Due to the Prime Directive, the crew can’t interfere... and we find out that there was a more complicated reason as to why Kamala was as she was. This is pretty much the TNG version of Elaan of Troyius from TOS. Kamala is completely different from Elaan, more composed and well-mannered while Elaan was more aggressive and upfront. Looking back I do feel I was too harsh in calling Elaan a brat considering the conditions she was under, but the episode certainly didn’t give he much sympathy from anyone (aside from Kirk) while they do better calling out the arrangement here. Then again it’s been months since I watched the episode so I may be remembering wrong. But it does ultimately end with Kamala entering an unhappy marriage, but she bonds with Picard and ends up acting as his perfect mate, so... hope that goes well. The whole empath/metamorph thing felt necessary as well, you didn’t need a reason to make men attracted to her for this episode to work. Which yes it only works on men, remember this is the 90’s folks. I’m kind of baffled as to why Troi wasn’t in this one considering we have another empath, that could have added a more interesting layer and justified that part. But I shall repeat what I said in Elaan when they put Kirk under that tear-induced love spell: you don’t need those elements to keep a plot spicy. The Ferengi we're also utterly pointless. While I feel that the subject is better done than in TOS and it felt more evenly paced... I’m still not a fan of it. It has more of the nuanced debate on the arranged marriage plot that I was annoyed that Elaan didn’t have... but I’m still pretty meh about it overall. it’s alright, but just that: alright. 2.5/5.

Okay folks, we’re five episodes away from finishing S5. So far... it’s only been alright. There’s been a couple of strong episodes, but overall it’s remained firmly in the average range. Maybe S4 hyped me up too much, IDK. I’m still having fun, but maybe I’m just starting to get fatigued from TNG. But we don’t have much more to go, and there’s still plenty of time for S6 to change my mind, so we’ll see how things go from here.

After that, hermits started to report more instances left and right. Things would go missing, turning up at random later. Someone might catch sight of somebody they didn't recognize before that person disappeared. Mobs would be seen following the movements of someone who wasn't there.

The server became paranoid. Nobody knew who would be next to catch a glimpse of the mysterious figure. Who would witness the next bizarre thing. Some started to believe they were going crazy...

X let out a yawn and leaned back to stretch in his chair. Being an admin of a server was exhausting, and now to top it off, he had multiple reports of hermits seeing someone that wasn't there.

He found it coincidental at first that both Grian and Bdubs seemed to have seen someone, but then he heard that Joe also spotted someone around. After that, multiple strange things had taken place that had left the hermits puzzled and freaked out. It didn't make sense.

They hadn't added anyone new to the server, and from what Xisuma heard, this person was extremely stealthy. Somehow managing to appear in places quicker than usual, disappearing and reappearing... it was puzzling to say the least. Not to mention, the times, places and people seemed to be picked at random as well. From a jungle, to open plains, to then the Shopping District? And those were just the first cases!

X let out a groan and rested his chin on his palm tiredly. He had no idea what to do about this.

"-Xisuma? X? Hey bro, I was wondering if you were going to be restocking your honey blocks soon- Oh! Hey X! Didn't see you there!" Iskall said as he came through the doorway. X leaned up to look at him.

" 'Afternoon, Iskall. You need something?" He asked, a tired tone apparent in his voice.

"Yes.. I was going to ask if you were gonna be restocking your honey blocks soon.. but never mind that now! Dude, you look terrible, what's got you so stressed?" He asked, coming closer. X glanced back at his messy desk and sighed.

"Well there's admin stuff regarding the new update soon, but aside from that..." He paused, unsure of how to explain his troubles. "Right, I'm sure it's gone around by now... A bunch of the hermits have been seeing somebody sneaking around lately. Not a hermit, either. It makes no sense, but all of the reports seem legit." He groaned, picking up papers and looking over them.

Iskall came up to his desk. "Oh yeah, I guess I do recall a few things here or there. I have been working on my Omega Base, so, I am a bit behind on the news..." He confessed and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

X chuckled. "I noticed. It looks great man. And, from the amount of progress, I can almost guarantee that you haven't used the time to be messing with anybody. The whole thing just has me exhausted! There are no leads or significant clues to go off of either. Blimey, it's like the Jingler mystery all over again, now in'nit!?" X whined. Iskall chuckled at his outburst. Sure, you could easily tell the guy was British, but when X got angry it stuck out more.

"Yeah, with the whole sneaking thing going on and all. Plus, as you mentioned, haven't they been messing with people too? I heard Bdubs got pretty bent out of shape the other day." Iskall pointed out.

X hummed in confirmation.

"Yeah, mate. I was one of the only people active when it happened. He was going to meet up with Tango to check out a new machine for their shop, and a few minutes after Tango asked, Bdubs messaged us, telling us to stop messing with him. We all were in the Shopping District at the time, so I told him that. Few more minutes pass by, and suddenly he has just flown to us from his base, totally out of breath and messed up from a rough landing, claiming that someone was messing with him! Honestly, I felt bad. He had to do breathing exercises with Stress..." X recalled. Iskall gave him a concerned look.

"Wow, poor guy. Well, what else has happened?" Iskall asked, becoming curious. Of course being out of the loop, the most he knew was that weird things had been happening to people all over the server. Only him and a few others were left to have seen nothing yet thenselves.

X let out a sigh, and turned to some papers scattered amongst his desk. Except for a few admin documents, most of them were little notes and letters he had received to inform him of the weird occurrences. He picked up a few and scanned over them, already having read them all top to bottom.

"Well, Bdubs is the best example. Grian was the first to ask about it, but let me see... Here. Cleo, "noticed tools she had just put in a chest disappear and reappear in a totally different spot minutes to hours later." That could have been result of a buggy server, but she also mentioned that "one time she caught the object disappear right in front of her and be carried in some invisible person's hand. They had no indication of a potion effect, and the tool disappeared for an estimated three hours before returning with full durability." On that note she also stated, "the durability sometimes ends up lower or higher than before." He finished. Iskall leaned on the desk to look over his shoulder.

"That is totally insane, dude! Do you think it really isn't a hermit, but like some other worldly person? Or do you believe that the server is just down?" he asked skeptically. X shrugged.

"I'm not sure. I mean, we deal with a buggy server often. Plus, with the new update comin' up, I haven't had the time to manage all of the littler bugs around here. That being said... I'm not convinced it isn't a person. It's just rather off putting with the evidence to think that..." He paused, his eyes widening slightly at the confession he was about to make.

"...That perhaps it is a person... but they aren't a hermit."

Grian laughed at the sight in front of him. Scar was currently bugging out, and stuck in flight mode. He didn't even have anything on him, which made the sight even more hilarious. Scar jumped again, awkwardly floating back down into the floor, making Grian cackle once more. Scar chuckled himself. He had to admit, this was hilarious even from his point of view.

"Dude, I asked you here for help! As funny as this situation is, I can't do anything like this!" He whined jokingly. Grian contained himself, and walked over to try to assist his neighbor.

They tried taking damage, placing him under a trap door to use the mechanics to set him straight, and even tried to kill him. Nothing was working, and by now, the funniness of it had worn off. Well, for Scar at least. Grian still held back his giggling every time Scar flew back into the floor face first.

Grian pondered any new ideas to help, but ultimately came up with nothing. He was about to give in and message Xisuma, when he noticed movement over by the treeline. Naturally, he looked over. His heart skipped a beat as he saw someone shift back behind a tree.

He blinked. He knew he wasn't crazy anymore, from what he heard going around the server. Multiple sightings had led him to believe that something- no someone, was truly out there. And Grian knew in his gut that the person he had ran into in the jungle about a week and a half ago was the culprit. But the fact that this was his second sighting...

Scar noticed after a moment that Grian had stopped and gone silent. He looked up to see Grian concentrated on the jungle's edge. "Grian?" he asked. Grian snapped back to him, seemingly disturbed. Scar couldn't help but notice the almost frightened, likely startled look Grian gave him for a second.

"Oh, right. Sorry, just... thought I saw something..." he muttered, glancing back to the trees once more. Scar's brows furrowed in concern. Grian really seemed fixed on whatever he just saw.

"What'd you see out there? If it's a meanie bear then we are both in trouble, heh..." Scar joked, hoping to lighten the mood. Though, the zero change in expression from his friend led him to grow more serious. "You.. look uncomfortable." Scar commented. Grian noticeable swallowed. As nice as Scar's constant banter was, he was still feeling rather uneasy.

"Ah, well it could have been a mob, but.... It.. looked like a person. T-They shifted back behind a tree though...! I-It was probably nothing! I might just be on edge from all the gossip going around.." he concluded, but still watched the jungle edge wearily. Scar tried to follow his line of sight, but was inconvenienced by his situation.

"How about this, dude? We get my situation worked out, and then together we can go look for the person you and everyone else keeps seeing! I feel a bit left out to not be crazy! I mean, I am the crazy wizard of the server after all!" he chuckled. Grian looked to him hopefully.

"Really? I.. don't want to keep you from your work..." he said, feeling guilty. He honestly felt bad to inconvenience Scar in any way.

"I'm down to help! I mean, we are neighbors!" he pressed. Grian gave him a small smile.

"Right. Thanks, dude. Let me just message Xisuma and then we can get you sorted out." he said with a smile, going back to his usual self. Scar smiled awkwardly in return.

"Sounds good!... Man, this is starting to become uncomfortable..." Grian looked over at his floor-bound neighbor, and found himself giggling once again. Scar glared playfully, glad to at least have Grian back to usual- even if the usual meant Grian laughing at him.

"Right. Well, never mind that eerie thought. Anyway, this whole situation is quite bothersome. I mean, I don't have the time to be worrying over this! I still have plenty to do before the update, and I-" X was cut off of his complaining to Iskall by the buzz from their communicators. Simultaneously, the two pulled out their devices to read the new message in the community chat.

Grian: Hey, X? Scar and I could use your assistance over here. Scar is bugged out and we can't fix him lol

The two raise a brow, Iskall chuckling. "Looks like you have some business to attend to. Well, I'm headed that way myself since I already hit up the Shopping District before I came over. Mind if I join you, dude?" he asked. Xisuma gave him a smile.

"Yeah, we'd better go assist those two idiots before they make it worse." he grinned as he responded to the message with an "Omw." Iskall chuckled.

The two entered the nearest portal, taking the quick way through the nether. Locating the portal leading to Scar's base, both X and Iskall hop through.

Xisuma hadn't really visited the others' bases lately, so it took him back a bit to see Scar's magnificent village coming together so far. He shouldn't have been surprised, since this was the terraformer's specialty, afterall. But, he had to give credit where credit was due. This place truly looked and felt magical! And he put it all together remarkably quickly!

"Man, this place never ceases to amaze! Oh, I see Grian over by the center crystal!" Iskall pointed out. Grian, overhearing them, waved them over.

Upon seeing poor Scar, both X and Iskall broke out laughing. It wasn't everyday you saw a man in a wizard outfit stuck face first into the ground. Grian joined in on the laughter.

"When you guys are done, can you please help me?" Scar begged, only prompting the boys to laugh harder.

Aka the one where the team has to get their groove back

Ah, man. I always intend to do these straight after the ep but then damn life always gets in the way and now suddenly somehow it’s about 12 hours until the new episode airs… let’s see how quickly I can smash through this one then, huh? (Answer: not very quickly lol)

As usual, many thoughts to be found beneath the cut.

Look I’m not really a fan of hunters or white men who are overly attached to their weapons, but murdering a couple of dudes just because they stumbled upon your shady militant business seems a lil bit rough tbh

Ugh Weller is cooking for his lady he’s such a cutie pie and ugh Jane slept so deeply, when was the last time she slept well?? But ugh they’re really settling back into being around each other and HE COMPLIMENTS HER HAIR and tbh I like it best when it’s the classic ‘Jane Doe’ short look but this is super cute (and better than the wavy hair from last ep). And wow I feel like we’re burning through a lot of topics in this brief scene bc now they’re talking about how Jane disappearing pretty much bankrupted Weller (man, that’d have to add some guilt to the pile), and then it comes up that Jane is now vegan and tbh I have a slight problem with this new fact. Like okay being vegan is fine, but firstly they already had at least dinner together the night before, so this kinda should have already come up, right? And secondly I kinda feel like her being vegan now is just a somewhat clumsy way of the writers showing how these two have both ‘changed’ and ‘don’t really know each other like they used to’. I honestly expected her to be joking, and for that little joke to actually demonstrate that while they’re not exactly the same as they were, they also haven’t radically changed. But nevermind, I guess. It provided the necessary setup for Weller’s question about any other surprises-- following which Jane says nothing about the passports and cash she’d hidden-- which is what the writers really wanted to get out of this scene anyway.

Poor Stuart, Patterson really does not like sharing her lab. But technically he’s right, it is his lab too. And omg he and Zapata giving Patterson shit about her app is priceless. I think it might have been unintentional on his part but Zapata sure ran with it and I am loving her sly grin rn lol. But aw Patterson why you gotta growl at lil puppy Stuart so much?? He doesn’t have the tattoo solving experience you have, and plus, I seem to remember you obsessing over certain specific tattoos and getting distracted from the rest… though maybe the David experience put a stop to that, I guess, and you subconsciously don’t want Stuart to head down that same path. And then lol Weller strides in and tells Patterson he wants to solve one specific tattoo today and ooooh she is pissed, whereas Zapata’s having more fun rn than she did in her entire year at the CIA. I knew you missed this, girl. And then Weller says he solved part of the tatt and she’s immediately like ‘excuse me? By yourself?’ and looks doubtful (and also possibly concerned? It’s not something dodgy is it??). But omg “I’m not just a handsome face, Tasha” hahahaha. And yeah yeah we know about Roman and Berlin, though it’s news that there’s a specific sequence to these tattoos and that Roman is supposedly trying to help save the world. And now the team is crackin’ and ugh Patterson to Stuart “What a math whiz you are” and on one hand it’s funny but on the other c’mon mate, go easy on him. He’s barely more than a baby. Anyway ten she pulls some wizardy stuff with the tattoo and they figure out that it marks a spot up near the finger lakes. But then Jane realises that it may connect with the pre-existing tattoo in the same spot-- the left breast, apparently, thanks Stuart (next time answer a little slower, buddy) and omg she gives him this tiny, amused (but not mocking) smile as she repeats ‘left chest area’ and ugh I’m so glad to see someone being sweet to Stuart.

So the team updates Reade on the sitch, which feels a lil weird, and he’s hesitant to let them rush out and blindly follow the tattoos like Weller wants to, bc he’s worried about them being manipulated again, and oooh Weller gets all grumpy about it. Boys, boys, play nice. Jane gently convinces Reade into it, while Weller continues to grump. Dude, I don’t particularly think Reade should be in charge, but the fact of the matter is that he IS in charge, so you should be watching your tone. It doesn’t matter that you have inside info that this is a time-sensitive situation, that is still not a respectful way to address a superior officer. And then lol they go out and search for hours until Reade tries to make them go home “I don’t wanna just quit”/“it’s not quitting if it’s an order”. Lol poor guy, it’s like dealing with a bunch of headstrong kids some of the time. And then suddenly a satellite literally crash-lands right near them, and is pretty much immediately descended on by a bunch of military-esque guys. Notice that Weller is calling the shots again? Old habits die hard, I guess. Poor Reade….  

Stuart is still obsessed with that same tattoo and PAtterson is still annoyed by it. Reade and Weller walk in with a chorus of ‘so what have you got?’ and again, Weller, time to back down, buddy. This ain’t your team anymore. Lol “we’re not following hunches”/“We just followed Weller’s hunch…” ugh poor beleaguered Stuart. He just can’t catch a break. And sigh, looks like Rich won’t be helping out this ep. Bummer. Ooooohhh but Reade gives the orders and then calls Weller into his office, who definitely has an odd look on his face as he looks at their reversed positions either side of the desk. And omg Reade brings up the tattoo and Weller’s all ‘oh yeah I was right about that’.  Uh excuse me??? I’m not even on this team and even I don’t like your tone one bit, you insolent little preteen! Come on, Weller, this level of juvenile pettiness should be below you. After all, Reade is raising a very valid question about how it was that he just happened to solve the tattoo on the very day that the satellite fell-- which means he’s onto you, buddy. I’d be treading with a little more care and a little less jerkishness, if I were you….

Oh hi Sydney! Oh man when was this filmed??? I stg if they were there when I was there in September…. But oooh damn Roman is getting into some deep stuff here at this support group. Oh hey! I know that guy, he was in an ep of Timeless. And I think possibly in some Aussie ad? Idk. And yep, I don’t care if it’s my native accent, hearing it in an American show is always freakin weird. At least he’s a legit Aussie and not putting on a terrible fake accent haha. And ok I know he’s not but it kind of feels like he’s almost hitting on Roman haha? But in actuality I’m pretty sure Roman has orchestrated this whole thing. Also this dude lives in The Rocks??? He must be loaded, wow. And lol, it’s never too early for a beer in Australia, unless of course you’re me, in which case ‘never’ is too early for a beer haha.

Oooh boy, Stuart, it’s probably not a good idea to literally take the words out of Patterson’s mouth. She really does love briefing the team and showing how smart she is, which in this case involves her having figured out who the satellite belonged to. The representatives of ProtechSat arrive, though are greatly confused since they’re not missing a satellite-- at least, until they see the one in the lab. “Oh, this is for sure ours” hahaha. And then they proceed to have very restrained freakouts and make multiple phone calls as they realise exactly which satellite it was and what it did, while the team gets more and more impatient waiting for answers “getting a little suspicious here guys”/”lotta red flags” hahaha I love the sass in this team. And then lolll the whole ‘We’re from the DOD” exchange and the explaining of the acronyms is priceless. Turns out, though, that the US has a missile shield thingy via a network of satellites, and now with the black box from the crashed one, someone could technically turn it off. Lol at Tasha’s “great, now I have to make a phone call” haha. And Stuart suddenly gets the company name and damn I love this show’s subtle humour. Uh oh, apparently North Korea is priming their missiles, which means possible nuclear war. Geez, high stakes or what. Oh hold up, as long as a single satellite in the network stays functional, the shield stays in place. Who wants to bet that they stop the bad guys just as it counts down to one or two satellites left?? And then lol “stuart’s got something” “Really??” damn Patterson, be nice lol

Stuart has discovered the situation with the hunters, which leads them to a trail cam that shows the ringleader’s face-- and Jane knows him. She worked with him doing K&R, and knows several of his aliases. Reade is immediately thinking of the ramifications of her previous work, but Zapata and Patterson both immediately jump to her defense. Aw, my girls! And then Weller’s all grumpy again over this discovery and tbh I don’t understand why?? As far as I recall, he didn’t ever directly ask her what she’d been doing while she was gone, and rescuing kidnapping victims certainly doesn’t seem like a bad thing?? Like, so what if she worked with some questionable people for the greater good? Geez, Weller, you’re more hormonal in a single day than many girls are throughout their entire teenage years. Chill out, son.  

Back in the motherland, these rather similar looking dudes are bonding over more beers, and ugh Roman is telling him the truth about Shepherd and Jane. “Half the time I want my sister back, half the time I want to kill her”--- who wants to bet that that’s going to be a running theme of the season lol? And then haha “you’re next beer’s going to be a water” uh mate he’s American, the beer he’s used to practically IS water loll

Jane finds Weller in the locker room to apologise, which imo isn’t warranted, but whatever. And he says that she ‘did what she had to do’ and I LOVE that she corrects him and tells him that she did it bc she WANTED to? That’s right, girl, don’t let him alter your narrative to fit his views. And then he judges her about people she may or may not have killed/let die and dude. Duuuude. You’re being an assssss. Good thing Patterson has found some info on their bad guy. Sidenote, but I think the writers managed to slip in a subtle dig about gun control in there and I’m super impressed? Anyhow Patterson shows them the guy’s safehouses she found, which Jane is immediately able to narrow down to one based on her skills and her personal knowledge of the guy. Nice work, honey! And then they bust in there and oooh “this is for Paris”-- ok I need that backstory right now, please and thank you. We see some Korean guys in a car who have apparently already discovered that their contact is blown, but they apparently have an ace up their sleeve. Uh oh….

Oooh Zapata is ranting to Patterson about ‘Assistant Director Reade’ and man it’s weird hearing her use his title. Patterson tries to highlight things from his perspective (with another lil jab from Tasha about her app making it in there haha) and then tells her she might just need to figure out a new balance, likening it to her own ‘friends who hate each other’ thing with Stuart, and Zapata’s all ‘yeah no he definitely doesn’t know that that’s what you are’ and Patterson suddenly feels all bad. As you should, honey, coz you’ve been kinda mean to him this whole time. But aww she says she’ll be better and fix things and ugh I love seeing my babies listen to each other and work to improve themselves. Of course all her good intentions do kind of go out the window when she discovers that Stuart is back to using their processing power on his pet tattoo, and advances on him so suddenly that he literally knocks stuff off his desk in his haste to back away. Ugh the poor kid is terrified of her, despite being practically twice her height haha. She does make a good point that the nukes are all still live and the threat is far from neutralised, though. And lol she refers to the hacker as a he and the ProtechSat guy pipes up in the background “Or she!” and Patterson is all, “Exactly, women can be hackers too, Stuart!” and omg I shouldn’t laugh but the poor guy is so flustered rn and totally scared of her, and Zapata is in the background with her face in her hand hahahaha.

Oooh Reade comes in and diffuses the situation by being completely oblivious to it haha, just as he misses the sass Tasha directs his way. Then he goes in to interrogate the dude they caught and lol when he suggests he’s the hacker the dude is all “Do I look like a nerd?” Ouch man, didn’t you know anyone can be a hacker? Lol. And then “is that the good Korea, or the bad one?” okay I kinda like this guy haha, can we see more of him? Weller is definitely less impressed, taking the opportunity to shame Jane a little more for her past career choices, and dude you better get down off of that high horse before you FALL off of it. You’re hardly one with any right to be throwing stones here. But at she stands her ground, and he backs off a little. You go, Jane.

Oooh Reade is getting a pep talk from Hirst; she thinks he’s overcompensating now that the team is back. Well, that’s probably true. But on the other hand, certain members of his team (*cough* Weller *cough*) are also being prigs. Speaking of people who are being butts today, the bad dude (who is a butt) gets a visit from Jane (who has a nice butt) and there’s lots of sass being thrown around-- “I liked you better when you were unaffiliated” “Funny, I never liked you at all” hahaha yaaaassss my queeeeennnn. Oooh but hold on, he knew about her bounty? And didn’t act on it, due to a mysterious person called Clem telling him not to touch her. Wow, Clem must be powerful. They’re probably a dude, too, but just saying I have an Aunty Clem and though she’s a 5ft nutritionist with a pixie cut and giant glasses, I could totally see her as a mastermind/commander figure haha. I guess they already did the ‘Surprise! This character you’ve been hearing about is actually a woman!’ reveal with Shepherd tho. But anyhow based on Jane’s chat with her old work buddy, there may be a leak in the team-- and of course the first suspect is the ProtechSat guy who happens to be a POC. Original. It’s only when he has an alibi--- sidenote, why was he at the hospital overnight I really wanna know-- that anyone even remembers that oh yeah, he has a colleague who has also been there the whole time, and who they now know had the means to frame him. But I mean she’s a pretty white lady, so who could blame them for not suspecting her til now? (#me #Icould) Aaand now the innocent lil white lady just killed two poor dudes and is about to give the baddies the means to nuke the whole country. Good work, team.

Back by the bay, the beardy boys are bonding beautifully. Poor Aussie dude just really wants to make sure Roman isn’t a risk to himself-- but he doesn’t realise that he’s the one at risk. Roman deliberately targeted him, drugged him and is about to kill him. And ughhh the poor guy is all ‘I don’t wanna die’ and Roman seems to almost regret that he has to do it bc he seems to genuinely like him and duuuude just don’t do it! Don’t kill him! Be a better person!

The ProtechSat guy helped them figure out where the hacker chick is, which I’m super satisfied by bc the guy that they wrongly accused has now just helped save their asses. And Jeller are racing there, and Jane tells Weller she loves him, but it’s with a look of almost trepidation on her face, like when a dog thinks you’re mad at them so they’ll come up and lick your hand and try to be extra cute and lovable. At least Weller immediately says it back, then reassures her that he’s not mad at her, but at Roman for orchestrating all this, and tells her that they can’t let him drive them apart. Mmmm-hmmmm, this is the time when you mention that you ALSO have something to confess, boy! But nope, looks like we’re not free of the hypocrisy yet. Anyhow the team dashes into the building (awkwardly hiding their guns from all the kiddies), guided by Patterson to the planetarium where they find a dead Marcy. Also the voiceover narrating about asteroids and meteorites sounds very much like it’s an analogy for this show’s characters… meanwhile the team is suddenly being shot at, a (male or female, thanks guys) hacker is shutting down all the satellites, Patterson is yelling… it’s just like old times. And finally the team functions like old times, and Reade and Tasha manage to cover Jeller long enough for them to go and take out the hacker and his guards in a kickass lil showdown-- leaving them with two satellites playing Atlas and holding the whole thing together. Lol at Reade losing his comms and being like ‘So did we win or did we get nuked?’ haha. And then awwww the team’s all gathered back at the lab and Reade is giving a lil speech and I’m so proud of them. Also no drinking in the lab is a new rule-- I feel like this was somehow put in place because of Rich haha.

Aw, damn, Roman really killed him. Well, that sucks. But he needed his identity or whatever, so fine. But omg it’s hilarious watching Luke pretend to ‘learn’ how to speak with his own native accent haha. Also when are they going to explain the absence of the scar???

Oh boy. Weller is cooking tofu sticks, which is not going at all well, but it’s a sweet gesture. And yet again I kind of expect Jane to say she was joking about the whole vegan thing, idk why lol. But ugh he’s all ‘I’m trying so hard’ and I really do feel bad for him rn. He’s scared that bc there’s so much about her now that he wasn’t part of, that it will mean he’ll never really have her back or something. But um dude, literally everyone else in the world is with someone who has years of experiences that don’t include them?? Like with her memory wipe, her entire existence is pretty much only like 4 years long at this point, and she was with you for 2 and a half of those. Most people are with someone who lived twenty or more years before knowing them. So I suggest you reassess a bit here, buddy. But then again I know you’re only scared of losing her again, which is probably a fear you’ll carry forever (which as we know, is a situation I am displeased with the writers about). But ugh Jane basically suggests going out on a date which is cute, and Weller’s all ‘no go we’re broke’, and she’s all ‘well actually’ and shows him her giant stash’o’cash. And it’s one of those bittersweet moments bc yes she kept it from him but she was keeping it for an emergency, and had likely planned to tell him once she had realised how dire things had gotten financially. Thankfully Weller decides to focus on the positive, and well, they don’t make it to that date….

Awww Tasha shows up at Reade’s apartment and there’s sass and it’s cute and he apologises and then she’s all oooohhh you’re on a date?? But NO OMG he has a GIRLFRIEND and she looks VERY FAMILIAR and ooooohhhhhhhhhh boyyyyyyyy this is gonna get awkwardddddddddddd  

Meanwhile Patterson is repeatedly calling Stuart to try to apologise and explain her recent behaviour which I really approve of and appreciate, and ugh she tells him he’s good at his job and ugh she’s actually gone to his apartment to see him but oh shit the door is busted in and please tell me he just went back to the lab to work late please please please oh shit oh nooooooooooooooo. Stuarttttttttttttt!! Oh my baby this is so unfair, you deserved so much better….  (Also poor Patterson ugh)

6'1 , 25 y/o male, spent the majority of the past 4 years dropping from 430lbs to a current 198lbs. The weight loss has left me with large amounts of sagging skin on my inner thighs, pelvis, abdomen, chest and upper arms. All of these areas are covered in large amounts of stretch marks as well, which leads me to believe these areas will never recover without surgery. Now my chest and arms are not nearly as big of an issue as working out at the gym has started to fill these areas in with muscle, but no amount of situps are tightening the skin around my abdomen, and no amount of leg exercises are firming up my inner thighs. Cardio actually seeems to make the issue worse as I lose even more weight. I've also begun to notice that the more the skin sags around my torso, the more my lower back hurts. Also, chafing on my inner thighs and buttocks makes cardio pardon the pun, but a pain in the ***. Hi there, Thank you in advance for helping out! I want to know your advice and recommendation on which company to receive my auto insurance/road service from, and what sort of coverage is recommended. I have been with AAA my whole life because my father advocates highly for them so I have trusted his judgment and experience. But I think they may be ripping me off. I am a 27 year old single female with a good driving record (last accident was back in spring 2005 I believe). Yet, every single year they seem to increase my monthly payment by ~$10 and now I'm paying $118.25/month! Are they that superior a company that it is worth paying this and should I try to negotiate with them, or is it worth looking into some other companies such as Geico, State Farm, Progressive, etc. Ive been receiving invites from them for years and Liberty Mutual supposedly has some college alumni offer for me and claim to be ~$340 cheaper than 21st Century, Allstate, and Mercurybut I never trust ads anymore. I only believe concrete statistical comparison data. Also, my dad said road service is completely separate from auto insurance (although AAA handles both) and I pay $52/year to be part of his joint plan as a AAA Plus Dues - Associate. He said he believes this covers 6 visits/year, 100 miles, is the most basic plan, and he only got it because hes been with AAA for 30 years.
